Look what showed up in my inbox this morning!

Why, that would be shiny new cover art to admire and preen over. So exciting! And an interesting thing about Amber Quill, I think, is that the acquisitions editor is also the cover artist — which means he’s actually read the book. He certainly did a great job capturing Luke’s sullen aggressiveness and Conall’s sardonic humor.

Also, “A Novel” has been cracking me up all day long.

I love it! June 27th cannot come soon enough.

I just wanted to stop by and say “CONGRATULATIONS”!!! I loved A King’s Ransom and have given you your first 5 Stars (and I don’t give those freely) *smiley Face* on Goodreads and am recommending your book to everyone I know. I really came to care for Conall and Luke and what their future held. You did a fantastic job and may I ask: Will we be seeing more of them or others in the world of Pirating and the Samari people?

Hi Nikki! Thanks so much! I saw your review, and it made my day. I’m so glad you enjoyed A King’s Ransom!

You will definitely be seeing more of Luke and Conall. :) There’s still lots more adventure waiting for them in Samar. You also get to meet Luke’s very spirited sister in the sequel, and that princess he was supposed to marry. ;) The book’s not quite finished yet, but it should be a very fun trip.
